Recently Mom called to tell me about an article in Magnolia Magazine she knew I would love. Posture Of Presence (Magnolia Winter 2022) asserts that our postures say something about how we are showing up for ourselves and others. Mom sending me this article makes perfect sense. She is one of those people who seems to naturally have a presence. And, she's the one who encouraged me to stand tall and sit up straight!

TIPS FOR IMPROVING POSTURE
Stand up straight with your shoulders back and down
Engage your core muscles to support your spine
Keep your feet hip-width apart and distribute your weight evenly
Take breaks from sitting and stretch regularly
Sit back in your chair
Raise the height of your monitor so aren't looking down
By being aware of our posture and perhaps making small changes to our posture, we can improve our overall health and well-being, boost our confidence, and show up for ourselves and those around us.
